What if legendary imaginative Italian painter, Giuseppe Arcimboldo drew well-known naturalist, Sir David Attenborough’s portrait? Students are to research Arcimboldo’s style of work and make a portrait drawing of Attenborough

2009 Year 7 Straw Sculpture
Students are to create standing sculpture with drinking straws and limited number of paper clips. Students are encouraged to investigate connecting straws together without the aid of paper clips.

What if Mona Lisa was given a day’s break from the over-protective Louvre Museum? What would she have done? Students are to imagine and make interpretation from Mona Lisa’s face.
2009 Year 7 Repetitive Objects
Students are to make repetitive objects painting with acrylic paint. They have to overlap with repetitive objects and apply complementary/ split-complementary colour schemes .
2009 Year 7 Bizarre Fruits
Students are to make fruit drawing with colour pencil. They have to combine two different fruits together to create a new breed of fruit.
2009 Year 7 Bugs' World
Students are assigned to make bug drawing with pencil. They have to include a small abstract photocopied texture (image from a breakfast cereal) as part of their bug drawings.
